Now I’ll show you pictures from parts 1 and 2! Both events had 5 participants.<\/p>\n

Part 1’s theme was black mark making. We did lots of quick drawings and some participants tried using charcoal for the first time.<\/p>\n

Here we are using ink and all kinds of brushes (including toothbrush!) to make different lines that we can use later for our drawings.<\/p>\n

This time we were drawing a variety of objects including Indian puppets, driftwood and a ukelele.<\/p>\n

longer 20 minute drawing with mixed charcoal and ink.<\/p>\n

Finally we chose one drawing each to show the camera!<\/p>\n

Here is the 6 pages 1 person drew over the hour and half. Top right is one continuous line drawing (dont lift charcoal off page). The folded one is 1 minute per section, close-up details.<\/p>\n

NEXT: Part 2 – colour intro!<\/p>\n

We started by using oil pastels to familiarise ourselves with the different leaves and plants on display.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Next we used liquid watercolour paint to make all different purples, oranges and greens from our foundation of red, blue and yellow paint only!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Using one colour at a time (eg blue, red) and then by mixing 2 colours (eg yellow and red to make oranges) for each plant.<\/p>\n

Finally we worked in FULL COLOUR. After each exercise we show our work and marvel at the variety! everybody’s work is so unique.<\/p>\n
