You can come and try your hand at indigo dyeing with us at SEAPA shopping centre in Minami Awaji, Japan on December 23rd. The event is called “Awajishima Family Festa” and there will be lots of music, craft and workshops to try, and things to buy .
Dye your own tote bags from 1000yen per bag. You can try clamp, peg, clips and stitching techniques. Watch the bag turn green then indigo blue.
We’ll also display some of our works and sell T-shirts and baby grows.
Recently we are trying to perfect gradient ‘ombre’ dyeing. Its hard!
simple is good: circles.
2nd attempt at this pole-squashing-down method, still not getting the results we want but its all interesting! This time we used a thin elasticated thread. Try again next time!
