We made a indigo shibori noren for this pop-up somen noodle shop.
sudachi and purple basil!
Here is the process of how it was made:
Marked out and folded where the stripes will be.
tied wooden dowel around the conceteinerd folds with rubber bands at the end (and g clamps in the middle, shown 2 pics below whilst being dyed)
The lettering is painted on with wax
we dipped about 4 or 5 times.
after its washed and dried i sewed up the hems.
