We made an outdoor noren ‘awning?’ for a local guesthouse/event space called nobinobibyori.
We used a stitched and bound shibori technique which is quite simple to reproduce their logo, which is a stylised ‘no’ character.
You can see it from the inside…
But its main purpose is to be seen from the roadside and identify it as the guesthouse as it looks pretty normal otherwise like a regular house.
It’s just 5 minutes walk to the beach, great place to stay!
