We were commissioned to make a noren (Japanese curtain) for a new local business ‘Ama Terrasse’ cafe and pension. The cafe caters for local people or tourists but the pension side of it is targeted at the many cyclists who come wizzing round the island.
We took the cyclist idea to make little tie-dye wheels. We used batik (wax resist) to draw the letters (which spell Ama Terrasse) .
