Umihotaru is little creature that lives in sea and they glow at night with blue light. They apparently live beach in Awaji island. This night “Awaji FAN club” NPO organized event that gather umihotaru and watch them. So we went to Tsushi beach in sunset time.
There was big wind mill.
They have an astronomical telescope.
We made trap to gather umihotaru. We prepared pet bottle with sand in it and put row fish in bottle. Umihotaru eat flesh fishes.
We threw bottle in the sea and wait 5minites, then we could start seeing blue dots on the beach. That’s Umihotaru. It’s too dark to capture them in camera, but it’s kind of magical!
The guy explained stars we could see at this night, and we saw very close up stars with scope.
